Lyrics
Swaying room as the music starts
Strangers making the most of the dark
Two by two, their bodies become one
I see you through the smokey air
Can't you feel the weight of my stare?
You're so close but still a world away
What I'm dying to say is that I’m crazy for you
This song is straight up about sexual attraction and desire.
What makes me sexually attracted to someone?
Human sexual attraction is complex, and researchers are learning that it’s not entirely based on either looks or personality. We tend to be attracted to people with symmetrical faces, who are healthy, and who are genetically compatible with us, but studies show that much of this may be determined as much by smell as by sight, in ways the conscious mind cannot control. Other studies find that a powerful source of sexual attraction is the knowledge that someone else is sexually attracted to us; playing hard to get it turns out, is less of an attractor than many people imagine.
Lyrics
I'm crazy for you
Touch me once and you'll know it's true
I never wanted anyone like this
It's all brand new
You'll feel it in my kiss
I'm crazy for you
Crazy for you
Caitlin Cantor LCSW, CST, CGT taught 3 essential truths about sexual desire;
Some people have spontaneous desire for sex and others have responsive desire.
Desire discrepancies are inevitable in long-term relationships.
You don't need to feel sexual desire in order to have sex.
Lyrics
Trying hard to control my heart
I walk over to where you are
Eye to eye, we need no words at all
Slowly now we begin to move
Every breath I'm deeper into you
Soon we two are standing still in time
If you read my mind you’ll see I’m crazy for you
According to Wikipedia; upon release, critical reception towards the song was generally positive, with praise being given to Madonna’s vocals. Additionally it earned her first Grammy nomination for Best Femal Pop Vocal Performance. (She lost to Whitney Houston’s “Saving all my love for you”.)
The song became Madonna’s second number-one on the US Billboard Hot 100, and reached the top of the charts of Australia and Canada.
Songfacts states that Madonna recorded her vocals in one take.
Random personal memory; this song was my first attempt at kareoke. I was in St. Louis for the summer, training to become a flight attendant. The girls and I went out dancing and for whatever reason, this was my song of choice. I know, slow songs are not typical kareoke crowd faves. However, this song was a huge hit at the time, and the girls joined in with me singing at the top of their lungs. Great memory!

Fun Fact Trivia:
This song was written for a specific movie. Which movie was it?
Answer: Vision Quest released in 1985 starring Matthew Modine and Linda Fiorentino.
Biography shared more fun facts about this song, turns out Madonna’s early acting appearance is in Vision Quest.
She played the singer in a club — not a stretch for her by any measure. According to Rolling Stone, Madonna's first film was the 1979 offbeat underground work called A Certain Sacrifice. Later in 1985, however, she tackled her first starring role as Susan in Desperately Seeking Susan. She also tied the knot with actor Sean Penn that August. The two would go on to star together in the 1986 box office bomb Shanghai Surprise.
