Lyrics

When your legs don't work like they used to before
And I can't sweep you off of your feet
Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love
Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks

When my hair's all but gone and my memory fades
And the crowds don't remember my name
When my hands don't play the strings the same way,
I know you will still love me the same

Unconditional love means accepting someone for who they are, flaws and all, without expecting anything in return, simply cherish their happiness. This is real love.

In many spiritual traditions, unconditional love is seen to be the highest form of human expression. I remember meeting with some Buddhist monks during some very turbulent times in the world. I asked one of them, “How do you deal with mean-spirited people?” The monk took his rosary in his hand, rolled the beads a bit, looked in my eyes, and said, “Just send them compassion.” Initially, I thought that sentiment was incomprehensible, but upon deep reflection, I realized the wisdom in his answer.

compassion; sympathetic consciousness of others’ distress together with a desire to alleviate it

Merriam-Webster Dictionary

Lyrics

So honey now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
Maybe we found love right where we are

Ed Sheeran refers to this song as a “walking down the aisle” song. His powerful, emotional vocals singing “take me into your arms, kiss me under the light of a thousand stars” hits the bullseye!

The Washington Post writer, Allison Stewart, has hailed the song as "a blatant and mercilessly effective bid for 'I’ll Be'-style wedding-song immortality". This song checks all the boxes.

Lyrics

'Cause honey your soul can never grow old, it's evergreen
Baby your smile's forever in my mind and memory

After the first listen, the lyrics “your soul can never grow old, it’s evergreen” was the moment I got goosebumps. Falling deeply in love with someones’ soul is so much more meaningful than lustful desires.

The potential in relationships may be unlimited; love, spiritual energy, growth, and purpose unimaginable to be found in them.
