Lyrics

It's late in the evening
She's wondering what clothes to wear
She puts on her make up
And brushes her long blonde hair

And then she asks me, "Do I look alright?"
And I say, "Yes, you look wonderful tonight"

We go to a party
And everyone turns to see
This beautiful lady
That's walking around with me

Every couple has had this moment. Don’t miss it!

Look right at your sweetheart when they approach you, all cleaned up, all dressed up, looking their best…

Smile, take the opportunity to drink it in, appreciate them!

The day we stop doing this is a moment of undoing the beautiful habit of gratitude. It’s not a vanity moment. It is a moment of cherishing what you get to enjoy. Beauty and kindness are a gift.

Enhancing their sense of worth. One of the most profound ways to make someone feel loved is by helping them see their own value. This goes beyond compliments—although those certainly help. It’s about consistently showing that you recognize and appreciate who they are. This can be done by prioritizing them, respecting their opinions and acknowledging their achievements, both big and small. These affirmations build their self-esteem and deepen the emotional bond you share. Participants reported acts like offering “constant reminders that I am beautiful inside and out,” and how their partner “goes out of their way to do things that I love.”

Lyrics

I feel wonderful
Because I see the love light in your eyes
And the wonder of it all
Is that you just don't realize how much I love you

The love between you and I is extremely rare and special. If there is any beauty to be found in the pain of cancer and loss, it is that testimony of such extraordinary eternal love.

Fun Fact Trivia:

What inspired Eric Clapton to write this song?

Answer: Eric Clapton wrote 'Wonderful Tonight' in 1976 while waiting for his then-girlfriend (and future wife) Pattie Boyd to get ready for a night out.

They were heading out to a Buddy Holly tribute that Paul McCartney had arranged, and Clapton was waiting around while she tried on clothes.

Boyd told The Guardian in 2008 that Clapton "was sitting round playing his guitar while I was trying on dresses upstairs.

"I was taking so long and I was panicking about my hair, my clothes, everything, and I came downstairs expecting him to really berate me but he said, 'Listen to this!'"
